Your account

Delete your account

You can delete your Àjàlá account and everything attached to it at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and you do not need to give a reason. There are three ways to do it.

1. In the Àjàlá app

  1. Open the app and go to the You tab.
  2. Sign in if you are not already signed in.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. Your account and data are removed straight away and you are signed out everywhere.

2. On this website

  1. Sign in and open Your account.
  2. Under Danger zone, choose Permanently delete account and confirm.

3. By email

If you cannot sign in, write to admin@ajala.live from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm it is you and delete the account within 7 days. You can use the same address to ask for a copy of your data, or for part of it to be deleted, instead of the whole account.

What is deleted

  • Your profile: name, username, date of birth, email and your Àjàlá ID
  • Your guardians, both the people you added and anyone who added you
  • Any pending safety alerts and live trip records
  • Your saved routes, followed areas and notification tokens
  • Your login, which signs you out on every device

What stays, without your name on it

Road reports and route suggestions you posted stay on the platform, because other travellers depend on them, but your name and account reference are stripped from them. They cannot be traced back to you. We keep no copy of a deleted account. The full reasoning, including what the law asks of us, is in section 15 of the Privacy Policy.
